The aim of the program is to provide preschool teacher candidates with the knowledge and skills related to their fields and the teaching profession.
Students who complete the preschool education bachelor's degree program are entitled to receive a Preschool Education Department Degree and a teaching certificate.
Graduates of preschool teaching can work as teachers in preschool education institutions.
Opportunities Provided By The Program
Students in the program can pursue a double major with the Departments of Midwifery, Nursing, Theology, English Language Education, Special Education, Guidance and Psychological Counseling, and Primary Education. The department also offers a minor program in Preschool Education to Sakarya University students. There are also special interest courses in the areas of Language Education for Children (Interdisciplinary), Creativity and Art Education with the aim of helping students find their area of interest. Preschool Education Department has been accredited by EPDAD since 2020. There are ERASMUS agreements with Hungary and MEVLANA foreign exchange agreements with Azerbaijan, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Morocco and Kazakhstan. The department also has agreements with various universities in Turkey as part of the FARABI program.
